This blog basically gives me a place to post all my pictures of life going on around me and somewhere to post something clever if there happens to be no one around to share it with!

CRAP!

I forgot an exclamation point in the last title!! NOOOOOO!

School

Driving 45 minutes for class SUCKS! Fortunately, I have a friend who lives in Orlando so i stay at her house. This way I drive for my 6-850pm class and stay at her house then go to my next day class at 130-430. She's super awesome for letting me do that! Any who, she just creeped behind and saw me blogging (how lame of me right?) so I'm going to eat pancakes and go to class. I hope I can skate sometime EVER!

The Real World!

I was spoiled by how many cool things were happening at all times at camp. There's not a whole lot of photo worthy activities when all I do is work and school :( I can't wait for a little break! I'm going to work in 30 minutes from 11-8. Maybe I'll see Columbiana!

So I'm on a web surfing train!

http://www.howitshouldhaveended.com/

HOW TO TICK PEOPLE OFF!

I found this on stumbleupon :)

  1. Leave the copy machine set to reduce 200%, extra dark, 17 inch paper, 99 copies.
  2. In the memo field of all your checks, write "for sexual favors."
  3. Specify that your drive-through order is "TO-GO."
  4. If you have a glass eye, tap on it occasionally with your pen while talking to others.
  5. Stomp on little plastic ketchup packets.
  6. Insist on keeping your car windshield wipers running in all weather conditions "to keep them tuned up."
  7. Reply to everything someone says with "that's what you think."
  8. Practice making fax and modem noises.
  9. Highlight irrelevant information in scientific papers and "cc" them to your boss.
  10. Make beeping noises when a large person backs up.
  11. Finish all your sentences with the words "in accordance with prophesy."
  12. Signal that a conversation is over by clamping your hands over your ears and grimacing.
  13. Disassemble your pen and "accidentally" flip the ink cartridge across the room.
  14. Holler random numbers while someone is counting.
  15. Adjust the tint on your TV so that all the people are green, and insist to others that you "like it that way."
  16. Staple pages in the middle of the page.
  17. Publicly investigate just how slowly you can make a croaking noise.
  18. Honk and wave to strangers.
  19. Decline to be seated at a restaurant, and simply eat their complimentary mints at the cash register.
  20. TYPE IN UPPERCASE.
  21. type only in lowercase.
  22. dont use any punctuation either
  23. Buy a large quantity of orange traffic cones and reroute whole streets.
  24. Repeat the following conversation a dozen times.
    "DO YOU HEAR THAT?"
    "What?"
    "Never mind, it's gone now."
  25. As much as possible, skip rather than walk.
  26. Try playing the William Tell Overture by tapping on the bottom of your chin. When nearly done, announce "No, wait, I messed it up," and repeat.
  27. Ask people what gender they are.
  28. While making presentations, occasionally bob your head like a parakeet.
  29. Sit in your front yard pointing a hair dryer at passing cars to see if they slow down.
  30. Sing along at the opera.
  31. Go to a poetry recital and ask why each poem doesn't rhyme.
  32. Ask your co-workers mysterious questions and then scribble their answers in a notebook. Mutter something about "psychological profiles."
Camp is over! Back to real life, full speed ahead. I had a one day buffer until class, dentist, doctor, work, etc catches up. Here are some photos from the last few days of camp :)
Huge water fight in the target plaza
Carnival water slide with Ronnie, Emu, Lorena, and me!

I got a pic doing an indie grab out of the quarter. Apparently it's childish good fun >.>

Funny Professor!

Okay, I'm stoked on this class now. Look how AWESOME my professor is! This is from the syllabus quiz...i got a 100% ;)

What happens if you do not complete one of the proctored exams?
A) It's all good. Don't sweat it.
B) It won't affect my grade because I'm special.
C) Fo shizzle ma nizzle.
D) You fail the course.

If I don't complete more than three weekly assignments OR hand in more than three weekly assignments late, what happens?
A) There will be a blizzard in Brevard County in August next year. And I don't want that on my head so I won't miss more than three weekly assignments (or hand in more than three late).
B) I get a candy bar?
C) Perhaps you missed my response to one of the other questions; It won't affect me because I'm special.
D) It is grounds for failure of the course and/or withdrawal due to non-attendance

What happens if you plagiarize ANY assignment (discussion boards included) for this course?
A) You receive a failing grade for the course. Perhaps not as bad as the other responses but still pretty bad none-the-less.
B) A large man with a bag of door knobs will hunt you down.
C) A puppy dies next to the kitten from the other answer. Talk about a double whammy.
D) A kitten dies somewhere. You don't want that to happen, do you?

When must OUTSIDE of Brevard County proctored requests be made (Hint: see the Proctored Exams section).
A) I don't need a reservation. I'm psychic and can take the tests in my mind. Really, there isn't a need to check, I'll just tell you what grade I earned.
B) The first week of class.
C) You don't have to ask. Just show up and expect them to know what class you're taking this for.
D) 24 hours before you want to take the exam.

Photo ATTACK!

So, as promised, I went photo crazy yesterday and today. I'm going to miss these faces!
Patrick, the bmx instructor, counselor, OSI, trainer, and pogo-stick engineer

Sarah Lurkin it up. Patrick's not happy about it...
 Monica! She's cool. Sarah...
There's nothing really to say...
Sarah! Was always confined to her cabin or in the shop, so not as much chill time as I'd like :(
Jason can not only help with injuries, but also hair dos!
Maggy (yes, with a y, seems more of an ie kinda girl to me...) Love hangin in the shop with her!

AND

I added some more stuffs to my board! Cuz I was bored (see what I did there?)
For tap week the tapped campers played a camp wide capture the flag game. Emily and Jack, the rec directors, were totally into it
Working at the U.S. Open for Surfing, definitely paid off! Natalie sent Lorena and I TWO pairs of shoes each, on top of the all blue ones (on the right) that we got when we arrived. Thanks Natalie! So stoked!

I like exclamation points!

It's Sunday! I'm already freaking about camp ending. Stress is closing in, being led by BCC classes starting tomorrow. Six more days till I'm home and back in the real world with tests, car payments, gas, work and drama. I'm going to miss this place and these people so much! Don't be surprised to see all my photos blow up this week because I have to capture everything before I leave! Here are some good memories from the last couple of days. :)
That's right folks, the trainers who mend your wounds can also dance the 'N Sync choreography.

A mountain of bikes! This seems to happen every time the bikers are meeting somewhere. I don't know who's behind it...
Katy let me drive her car to the gas station to buy some goodies for us while I helped her this morning. It's such a cool, old car! And it didn't have power brakes so I had to slam the brakes constantly but it was fun!

And some!

Last week Lorena, Van, Tyler, Tyler, and I worked the Woodward West booth at the U.S. Open of Surfing.  It was awesome! Lorena posted pics of it and I'm not one to be upstaged so here are some I took!
Our booth
Van working hard...
Some enthusiastic future cheerleaders. lol
The crazy cool Coastal Carnage bool behind us.
This is the hotel where we stayed. Soooo nice and such comfortable beds :) All our food was covered too, so we ate in luxury!
Katie Ketchum happened to stroll by our booth. It was great seeing her again even though we didn't get a chance to hang out while I was there.
Lorena out for the count on the beds she claims are too soft. Pfft.
I was lucky to have some of my family that live in Anaheim pick me up for dinner after working the booth. I don't get to see them much since I live in Florida. Great seeing them! It's Uncle Chris front left then Moses, Aunt Charis, ME, Steven, and Samuel.
Me and the cousins! I don't look out of place do I?

 Samuel has great photography skills...

Back To Today

It was the olympic challenge today and the kids had to ask the trainers to 'mend their broken hearts.' Jason said they all had to give Monica a hug. She looks thrilled, don't you think?
 Mobbed.
My board was looking mighty drab so I snazzed it up with a man climbing a mountain and a cheery sun! More shall be added after my wittle bwister on my finger winger heals. :)
I was osiing today at the backyard mini. Always a chill time spent listening to Frank Sinatra and Nat King Cole.

P.s. Summer smells like wet dirt, hot skatelight, and old foam...just thought I'd let you know :)

Past My Bedtime!

I was missing my sister, Jess, (haven't seen her in almost 3 months while I'm here at camp) so I watched a video I posted 2 years ago to remind me of how awesome we are :)

NERD!

Oh hey!
Sheila (pronounced say-la or c'est la (for you frenchies)) and I skated a bunch this morning and we snapped a few photos along the way! We hung out with Jason and the other trainers to ice our wounds after. Good sesh!

This is one of the pics Sheila got of me doing my back royale. Great pic Sheila :) No I'm slacking it up till I work and then I'll frolic away later :)

You don't get an intro!

So I'm working at Camp Woodward this summer :)

I was skating the mini with Lorena working on a line. This is a fun still shot of a hang up I had the pleasure of experiencing...No I didn't get my feet down in time.
